National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) provides smart, innovative television that shows a new way of looking at the world. From the rarely-seen corners of the Earth to the commonplace of our modern world, NGCI reveals a different perspective for viewers who want to know more.
Over the last year NGCI has entertained viewers with trips to Mars on the NASA Exploration Rovers, to China to trace the steps of Marco Polo, to Dubai to explore the inner-workings of the tallest hotel in the world, and into the heart of a tornado to witness the destructive power of nature. Each special and series pushes the boundaries of our understanding about the subjects that make up our world.
NGCI supports and showcases the groundbreaking work of the Society which is home to cutting-edge scientists and explorers such as Robert Ballard, Paul Sereno, Zahi Hawass, Meave and Louise Leakey, Wade Davis, Johan Reinhard and Sylvia Earle. In addition, the Channel is dedicated to developing new talent around the world and actively seeks regional partners to provide funds to young filmmakers. The resulting documentaries have been compiled into innovative strands such as Asia to the World and Reel Talent, and won top industry awards.
